TOT Runway: Playdate NYC - Handmade Children's Clothing

Playdate NYC - Handmade Children's Clothing

Playdate NYC was started by two moms, a Texan and a New Yorker, who met on a play date in Central Park in N.Y.C. Before mommy-hood, both had successful careers as an estate planning lawyer and a Japanese art curator, but wanted to channel their creative energy into something more inspiring for their own children, as well as for other mothers.

Their apparel comes in many colorful jerseys, tye dye thermals, hoodies, tanks, onesies, yoga pants, dresses and hats all made of 100% cotton. Sizes available are infant 3 month to children size 12. You will fall in love with thier whimsical designs from personalized birthday shirts, varsity letters and little fish to the more trendy rhinestud peace signs, skully, and superhero capes.

All of Playdate NYC's products are handmade right down to the designing, cutting and sewing to a personal guarantee of not only quality, but the best customer service possible.

What I like the most is how original the pieces are and so colorful. They look like something you'd find at a little boutique. Thus, you won't find kids wearing the same outfit during your next playdate. They would especially make great gifts.

Here are Ben and Logan in their personalized long-sleeve shirts:

Ben is wearing an ultra soft blue tye-dye lap tee that is 100% cotton from American Apparel. The felt letter "b" is hand-sewn on the baseball patch with white embroidery stitching. I'm all about tye-dye on kids too, I wish more outfits had it.

While Logan's is a football long-sleeved tee with initial. The felt letter "L" is hand-sewn on the brown felt football with blue and white embroidery stitching.
When worn together they make for some really cute twins clothes as well.

So, check out Playdate NYC and find your favorites.
